Ancient district street in Van Thach Lam
About 20km from the center of Hai Duong City, Cam Giang Station (Cam Giang Town, Cam Giang District) is not only a stop station on the Hanoi - Hai Phong railway, but also a place to save many memories associated with the self -Luc Van Doan group - an important literary group of Vietnam in the 1930s.
Self -reliant Van Doan was founded by the writer Nhat Linh (Nguyen Tuong Tam), with the participation of many big names such as Khai Hung, Hoang Dao, Thach Lam ... and some other collaborative writers.
Writer Thach Lam had a childhood attached to the land of Cam Giang, which nourished the sensitive soul of the young writer. In the short story "Two children", the image of the district sadly, the lights and the night train from Hanoi passed is said to be inspired by this town.

It is the quiet and sad countryside of the countryside that has become a part of the soul in Thach Lam's literature. Cam Giang therefore is not only his own memory, but also a part of the collective memory of the literary movement that once aroused the desire to change and the spirit of self -reliance in society.
Currently, near Cam Giang Station, there are still some ancient architecture, including the old house of the writer's family, once proposed to be renovated into a souvenir area of Tu Luc Van Doan.
Inside the house are personal items of writers such as desks, books, handwritten paper, and the group's outstanding works. In addition, the souvenir house also displays historical documents, pictures of the group and its influence on Vietnamese literature.
A part of the space recreated the literary and exchange activities of the self -reliance group through pictures, helping visitors better understand this literary movement. Outside, the green garden space creates a sense of comfort and relaxation.
According to the leader of the People's Committee of Cam Giang town (Cam Giang district, Hai Duong province), the restoration and embellishment of souvenir space is essential to promote cultural values, and at the same time record the contribution of writers in a historical period of Vietnamese literature. This is not only an act of gratitude to the past, but also contributing to enriching the spiritual life of the people and the young generation today.

Small pens in the heart of town
Amidst the modern life, the spirit of literary love in Cam Giang is still followed by young people. One of the bright spots is Hoang Lan - a group of literary writing clubs for students, founded by teacher Tran Thuy Linh, teacher of Cam Giang Primary School.
The group was established from the year with the desire to arouse the ability to write and perceive literature for elementary school students. Sharing with labor, teacher Thuy Linh said: "I told you about the writer Thach Lam, about the old Cam Giang district, so that the children could understand that they were living on a land of cultural depth. Hopefully, through activities, they not only know how to write and preserve the beauty of language."
Each week, the members of the group gather together to read, share feelings or write short stories and poems. Some children have won awards in district and provincial children's writing competitions. That small space has become a nursery place for many young writers.

The group of Huong Lan Huong, including Vu Tuan Khang, a student of grade 11 of Cam Giang High School, one of the prominent members of the group, often organizes reading activities, writing stories, writing poems and sharing of literary feelings.
Vu Tuan Khang said.
We often read and analyze his works, thereby more deeply understanding what he wanted to convey through every story. ”

From a memory domain associated with self -reliance, to the first pages of children today, Cam Giang still silently plays a special role on Vietnamese literature map. If paid properly, it can become a meaningful cultural and educational destination, contributing to nurturing the souls of the generations of literary love in the present and the future.
