This is the highest certificate for shooting coaches around the world who have passed the tests or have students who are champions, won Olympic and world medals.
With this certificate, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhung became the first Vietnamese shooting coach to be awarded a prestigious certificate by the International Shooting Federation, awarded to outstanding coaches in the world.
This is a recognition and reward for the contributions of the "steel rose" born in 1964 to Vietnamese sports in general and Vietnamese shooting in particular.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhung has devoted her whole life to Vietnamese shooting. Since he was an athlete, the "steel rose" of Vietnamese shooting has shown outstanding talent. After that, she was sent to the old Soviet Union for in-depth training, creating a solid foundation for her coaching career in the future.
Returning home, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhung continued to be involved in shooting in many important positions, including the role of Head of the Shooting Department (General Department of Physical Education and Sports, now the Department of Physical Education and Sports) and head coach of the Vietnam shooting team.
She also held the position of Vice President of the General Secretary of the Vietnam Shooting Federation in her previous term, contributing to the strong development of shooting in the country and in the international arena.
During her time leading the national shooting team, coach Nguyen Thi Nhung and her team have achieved many outstanding results, from the Southeast Asian Championship to the world.
Notably, at the 2016 Rio Olympics, together with expert Park Chung-gun, coach Nguyen Thi Nhung directed and led shooter Hoang Xuan Vinh to win 1 gold medal, 1 silver medal, breaking 1 Olympic record. This is the best achievement in the nearly 79-year history of Vietnamese sports up to this point.
Just about a year after leaving the position of head coach of the national shooting team and retiring under the State regime, coach Nguyen Thi Nhung was awarded a prestigious certificate by the International Shooting Federation.
