On the morning of May 1, the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City said that Ho Chi Minh City will not perform 10,500 drones on the evening of May 1.
According to the original plan, from 8:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. on the evening of May 1, 10,500 drones will be performed to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
Previously, on the evening of April 30, Ho Chi Minh City also organized an official demonstration of 10,500 drones, but due to a signal interference problem, they had to be temporarily suspended. The organizing committee has issued a notice of the cause of widespread wave disturbances, which may be unsafe when flying, so to ensure safety, the organizing unit decided to stop the flight and recall the drone.
On April 28, Ho Chi Minh City held a rehearsal of the light show using 10,500 drones. The event received enthusiastic response from many people and tourists. This is the largest drone show ever in Ho Chi Minh City.
The show has created vivid images, recreating important historical moments of the nation, as the image: The tanks rushed down the gate of the Independence Palace, the liberation flag flying on the roof of the Independence Palace and the image of President Ho Chi Minh, which has caused a strong touching to the viewers.
