Director Tran Thanh has just officially started filming the 2027 Tet movie project named "Em", marking his return to the Tet movie race after consecutive successes at the box office.
The film offering ceremony was held with the participation of the production crew and cast. However, the producer still kept all information about the content, theme as well as the faces participating in the film secret in order to surprise the audience.
Sharing on the opening day, Tran Thanh said that this time, he has a completely different feeling from previous projects.
Usually I am very nervous when starting a new movie. But today, I feel very peaceful, as if this is a story that must be made. Initially, I was preparing for another project, but when I reread the script of'Em', the vibration was too strong, causing me to decide to put the other project aside to prioritize this movie," the male director said.
According to Tran Thanh, even the process of choosing personnel and actors has many changes at the last minute. He believes that things that come naturally will bring the best results on screen.
I believe in arrangement. There are people who only appear at the last minute but are very suitable for the movie," he shared.
Notably, the project is only named with a single word "Em". Although the film title is short, the crew has not yet revealed the meaning behind it as well as the story that the work will exploit.
Tran Thanh said that he made the film not because of pressure from achievements or revenue, but out of empathy for the story. The male director also thanked the crew and actors for choosing to accompany the project.
I believe that even though sometimes I am the one making decisions, people meeting each other in this project is also a predestined relationship," he said.
After participating in a film project in Korea, Tran Thanh said he learned a lot of experience in operating the film crew. He was particularly impressed with the sense of responsibility and professional working style of the foreign crew.
I hope to be able to apply what I learned to'Em', so that the whole crew can create the most meticulous and quality film," the director shared.
Em" is produced by Tran Thanh Town. The movie is expected to be released in theaters on the 1st day of Lunar New Year 2027.
