People's Artist Thanh Lam decided to participate in Our Song - Our Songs at the invitation of MC Tran Thanh.
“Tran Thanh sent me the original version of Our Song, and I really liked it. Most importantly, Our Song focuses on music, investing in performances, and not exploiting many side elements. That is also what I like and find suitable for me. Therefore, after consideration, I decided to participate” - People's Artist Thanh Lam shared.
After many rounds, at the semi-final night of Our Song, Quang Linh - Pham Anh Duy's team was eliminated.
People's Artist Thanh Lam, after a long journey on air, has received many compliments for her transformation at Our Song. Thanh Lam brought an unprecedented image when talking gracefully and humorously, while performing difficult choreography, "balancing" even head-to-head and rope swinging scenes... Also at Our Song, Thanh Lam performed many different genres, in which the folk-inspired song "Ao Moi Ca Mau" was praised as outstanding.
In a conversation with Lao Dong reporter, People's Artist Thanh Lam said, "Only by participating in reality TV can we know how hard it is for us artists and the crew to have shining performances on stage. There are filming sessions that last from 6am the day before to 7am the next morning. The crew, including dancers, cameramen, lighting, directors... numbering up to hundreds of people, all work very hard. In the morning, when we are exhausted, we artists can still go home to rest, but the crew still has to stay and work."
People's Artist Thanh Lam said that after each day of filming, she felt exhausted. It took a lot of practice to put the performance on stage and film.
Each artist participating in the program must work continuously with many parties from costumes, dancers, to music, stage coordination... Recording time is always long, possibly leading to sleepless nights.
However, overcoming the hardships of the filming days, of the continuous flights from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City over the past months, People's Artist Thanh Lam shared: “I am happy to participate in Our Song - Our Song. I have overcome many challenges, overcome my own limits, and discovered new aspects of myself. Participating in Our Song, I was able to stand with my colleagues, from long-time colleagues in the profession to the young generation Gen Z. We worked together to contribute on a carefully invested stage, each performance was carefully prepared. I understand that there will be controversies, there will be things that will satisfy the audience, and there will be things that cannot be satisfied. But personally, my colleagues and I have really tried our best, done our best, and made every effort to do our best.”
The brilliance of the artists is supported by a strong team behind them. So, when participating in Our Song, People's Artist Thanh Lam said, "When watching other shows like Anh trai say hi or Call Me by Fire, my feeling is... pity. I understand, to have those performances, how many people had to work with such terrible intensity. Both the artists on stage and those behind the stage. It's really hard work."
