According to Khaosad English, actress Kamilla Belyatskaya, a Russian national, was on vacation in Thailand on November 29.
She was meditating on a cliff at the famous Laad Koh viewpoint on Koh Samui island (Bo Phut district, Surat Thani province) when a large wave swept her into the sea.
Bo Phut Police Station received the report at 1:30 p.m. the same day. Rescue teams arrived at the scene 15 minutes later. However, the actress had already been swept away by the waves.
At the time of the accident, a man jumped in but was unable to save her. The last image seen was of Beliatskaya struggling in the water.
When she fell, the sea was very rough, with waves 2-3 meters high. This is the reason why the actress could not handle the situation. The actress's body was found drifting ashore near a hotel, about 1 km from the accident site.
Kamilla Belyatskaya was born in 2000, from Novosibirsk, Russia. The young actress has a hot body with a personal page that many people follow on social networks. Friends and acquaintances also remember her as a lively, life-loving person.
The accident happened while she was traveling in Thailand with her fiance, Grigorii Anokhim. The two had been together for five years and were planning to get married in December. They had even taken their wedding photos.
According to East 2 West News, Grigorii Anokhim told local media: "On the day of the accident, my girlfriend said she was going to play tennis, but I didn't know that she had stopped by to relax at the Lad Koh viewpoint.
I only found out what happened through social media. I was devastated and immediately went to the area to help search for her.”
But the miracle did not happen. On social networks, many people expressed their grief and condolences to the fiance and family of the unfortunate actress.
Koh Samui is an island in Surat Thani Province, Southeast of Thailand. The third largest island in Thailand with an area of about 228.7 km², it is always among the most famous tourist destinations in this country.
Lad Koh is one of the great sightseeing spots in Koh Samui (Thailand). With panoramic views of the sea and the east coast of the island, tourists often come here to walk, meditate or watch the sunrise and sunset.
Before the tragedy, Belyatskaya herself had praised Lad Koh as "the most wonderful place on earth". She also expressed her love for Thailand and Koh Samui through a social media post: "I love Koh Samui, but this place (Lah Koh), this rocky beach, is the most wonderful thing I have ever seen in my life...".
However, Lad Koh is also warned of high waves and rugged cliffs. Chaiyaporn Subprasert, head of the Samui Lifeguard Center, said warning signs have been installed across the island’s beaches to warn visitors about unsafe swimming conditions and high waves and cliffs on the shore.
“During the monsoon season, we constantly warn tourists, especially in high-risk areas like Chaweng and Lamai beaches, where there are red flags indicating no swimming,” he told local media.
The area where Belyatskaya fell is also not a designated swimming area.
