Through research, it is shown that from July 1, the headquarters of the People's Committee of Tan An Ward, located on Nguyen Chi Thanh Street, Buon Ma Thuot City (old), was transferred to the Tan An Ward Police (Dak Lak Province) for use and operation.
About 3 days ago, Tan An Ward Police cut down two large cajuput trees, planted since 1996. These cajuput trees are nearly 30 years old, creating shade and aesthetics in the headquarters campus.
Currently, many large blocks of wood from the canopy after being cut down are being placed in the ward police headquarters.

The leader of Tan An Ward Police (Dak Lak Province) confirmed: "Immediately after receiving the headquarters, the unit started receiving citizens to handle administrative procedures. The two cajuput trees in the campus are large in size, located near the citizen reception location, and have electric wires... causing unsafety. Therefore, we had to cut down and replant two cajuput trees, move them to another location, and place them in a safer place."
"We admit that the cutting down was due to subjectivity, not asking for the opinion of the Department of Finance according to regulations because we thought we had received the handover of the headquarters, asked for the opinion of the Ward People's Committee, the Provincial Police, so we arbitrarily cut down two cajuput trees," the leader of Tan An Ward Police added.
Mr. Pham Dinh Trung - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tan An Ward (former Chairman of the People's Committee of the old Tan An Ward) confirmed: "Two cajuput trees at the old headquarters were accidentally cut down by the newly received Tan An Ward Police. When the police cut down the tree, we were not notified in advance."
"The two cajuput trees that were cut down are very beautiful, large in size, and the loss is quite a pity. Up to now, we have not completed the handover of all assets in the old headquarters to the Ward Police for takeover," Mr. Trung shared.
The Dak Lak Provincial Department of Finance confirmed that at the headquarters of the Tan An Ward People's Committee (old), a number of acacia trees planted in the premises were cut down.
In order to manage and handle green trees in the headquarters in accordance with regulations, the Department of Finance requests the People's Committee of Tan An Ward and the Ward Police to report on the management, handover and receipt of public assets.
The units proposed a plan to handle the assets and proposed to the competent authority for decision. Including the handling of assets for the number of trees planted in the premises at the headquarters.
