As of nearly 10:00 p.m. on July 11, the authorities were still blocking off the scene to clarify the fire at the Supply House signboard at Ly Thai To roundabout, Vuon Lai Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.

According to Lao Dong at the scene, at around 8:30 p.m. on July 11, a fire broke out from a wall between a grocery store and a Lotteria fried chicken shop right around Ly Thai To roundabout, Vuon Lai ward.



At the time of the fire, people heard many explosions coming from the signboard area of the grocery store. Then the fire broke out fiercely. Due to the fire area and many signs and banners, the fire broke out fiercely. After that, the fire spread to the fried chicken shop next door.



Immediately after discovering the fire, the staff in the two stores clutched their belongings and ran away. About 10 minutes after the fire, many fire trucks and more than 30 soldiers arrived at the scene, pulled the dragon hoses to put out the fire, preventing the fire from spreading. The fire was extinguished after about 15 minutes, but many equipment and furniture of the two houses were burned down.


According to people at the scene, the cause of the fire is suspected to be an electrical short circuit at the grocery store.
