In his 70s, a skilled carpenter, after many years of hard work, his hands are dead, his bones and joints are tired, and there are not many sticking joints like before. Every time it was humid, his knees hurt, and he walked more heavily, but he never complained, just calmly endured and always maintained the habit of walking around the park in the morning. His wife saw this and felt heartbroken, so she often told him to rest, but he shook his head: If you rest a lot, your joints will be stiff, don't worry!
But this year, the weather seems to be harsher. Every week, rarely on dry days, the house is always wet, the floor is slippery. He felt his limbs more tired than ever, there were times when he woke up in the morning, his knees were so painful that he didn't want to leave bed, but he remembered the doctor's words: Just keep moving, you would feel better. And he always keeps the truth: The most difficult battle is to defeat yourself.
He decided not to give up, no matter how much pain he had in his leg or body, even if he was weak and overweight, he still supported the stick to the road. And this afternoon, he met an old friend in the neighborhood, who had just had a stroke, and also tried to go to work. The old friend also brought a small stall on his side to listen to the news. So both old men went, listened to the radio, and commented on social issues.
After going around and doing some warm-up movements, both of them sat by the lake, making a cup of hot tea. With a companion, he was happy and went back together tomorrow. When he got home, he urged his wife to prepare a few more dishes to help strengthen bones and joints, such as stewed beef tail soup or brown rice congee. He realized that no matter how uncomfortable the weather is, as long as we don't give up, we can still adapt and overcome the weather.
The daughter laughed and said: The father generation is a poor generation but knows how to overcome difficulties, the more challenges to overcome are the weather. Many friends and children are now beyond their means, have good starting points, but not everyone is successful or even miserably failed because they refuse to make efforts.
