Towards the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026), the Vietnam Film Institute organizes a film screening program to commemorate and express gratitude to heroic martyrs, wounded soldiers, sick soldiers and people with meritorious services to the revolution who sacrificed and contributed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
The program introduces to the public typical cinematic works on the theme of war, armed forces and people with meritorious services to the revolution. Through this, the films recreate the heroic struggles of the nation, the noble sacrifices of heroic martyrs and stories about comradeship, teamwork and patriotism.
According to the Organizing Committee, the program takes place from July 27 to July 29, 2026 at Ngoc Khanh Theater (Vietnam Film Institute), No. 523 Kim Ma, Giang Vo ward, Hanoi. Detailed screening schedule:
9am on July 27th: Feature film "Ngọn lửa Thành Đồng" (The Fire of Thanh Dong).
9am on July 28th: Feature film Until When.
9am on July 29th: Feature film "The Survivor of the Laughing Forest".

Through the language of cinema, the program is expected to contribute to helping audiences better understand the years of arduous struggle, losses, and sacrifices for the independence and freedom of the nation; and at the same time arouse pride, solidarity, sense of responsibility and gratitude to generations of fathers and brothers who have contributed to the Fatherland.
This is also an opportunity for the public to jointly preserve and promote the tradition of "When drinking water, remember the source", educating the young generation about patriotism, gratitude ethics and responsibility to the homeland and country.
