In the journey to implement the art program "Gratitude for Birth 2026", the Organizing Committee not only tells stories about filial piety on stage but also brings the spirit of gratitude into life through activities of visiting and giving gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, families with meritorious services to the country and those in particularly difficult circumstances.
Gifts may not be materially large but contain care and sharing. Behind each meeting is a story of sacrifice, loss and mothers who have dedicated their whole lives to their families and the country.
Touching tears
According to Director Mai Thanh Tung - general director of "Gratitude for Birth 2026", gratitude and repayment activities are an important part of the program.
Representatives of the Organizing Committee visited and expressed gratitude to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in many regions across the country, and at the same time supported families in particularly difficult circumstances.
For mothers, the joy lies not in the value of the gift but in the fact that people still remember them, come to visit, sit next to them and listen to the stories that have remained in their memories for many years.
One of the meetings that moved the program organizers was the visit to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Kha, born in 1940, in Hoa Tien commune, Da Nang.
Mother welcomed the delegation with emotion. Mother's hugs, tears and smiles made the gift-giving ceremony a meaningful meeting. Behind that emotion is the joy when the house has more guests coming to show gratitude with sincerity.

For the Organizing Committee, it is no longer simply a visit but a meeting between people who are grateful to a mother who has dedicated her whole life to hard work.
Small gift, big story
In Hanoi, the organizers also visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Teo, who is about to turn 100 years old.
Her husband was a martyr in the anti-French resistance war, and her only son sacrificed in the anti-American resistance war. Behind the title of Vietnamese Heroic Mother is a family story with unmeasurable losses.
Through his daughter's story, the organizers heard the story of the father. In those days, in a deserted late night, he once returned to borrow a pair of earrings from his mother, which were her dowry when they got married, to have money to buy food for the hungry unit. After that, he left and did not return again.
Director Mai Thanh Tung said that every time they visit Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, the program organizers have indescribable emotions. Because behind each mother is a story about war, sacrifice and families who have endured pain that time cannot erase.
Gratitude to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers
According to General Director Mai Thanh Tung, "Gratitude for Birth" is not simply a music program but an art program telling in music about fatherly love and the values of gratitude.
The content is renewed year by year, but the word "Filial Piety" is still the red thread throughout.
This year, the word "Filial Piety" is expanded from the family scope to the responsibility of the community towards those who have sacrificed for the country. Therefore, visits and gift-giving activities are not an extracurricular part but a way for the program to bring messages from the stage to life.
Director Mai Thanh Tung shared that Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and parents in the past went through wars with many losses, pain and many difficult years so that today's generation can have a peaceful and warm life.
As people who have implemented the program'Gratitude for Birth' for many years, we hope that every Vu Lan season, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and parents will always live in happiness, have children and grandchildren gathered, cared for and supported" - the director said.
