After the 72nd Miss World journey and the end of the Miss World Vietnam 2023 term, how does Y Nhi look back on the past journey?
- For me, it was a very memorable journey. I had the opportunity to go to new countries, explore culture, cuisine, get to know many friends and gain more experiences.
When I travel more, I also see myself in more aspects, have strengths to develop, and shortcomings to adjust. Those things help me mature more and I am lucky to receive more love from the audience.
I am always grateful for the attention of the audience, journalists, media and fans. For me, love is not only joy but also a reminder to live more responsibly, work more seriously and maintain kindness in every choice.

Miss World 72 is really considered a turning point for you when you are loved by more audiences after the past scandals. You yourself seem to be calmer and more mature in your demeanor and statements. Is this the biggest success you have achieved since returning from Miss World 72?
- I think calmness comes from the fact that you have experienced many different situations and learned to observe yourself. When you are under pressure or things that make you sad, if you react hastily, it is easy to say wrong or do wrong. And if you slow down a little, you will understand why you are feeling that way, and which way should you choose to stay calm.
Actually, the journey of Miss World 72 is a priceless experience that I will always cherish. Throughout the competition, I observed and learned, gained new perspectives in life through each person I met, each event I attended. There are things I only truly understand when standing in an international environment, where each contestant has a story, has efforts, has their own strengths and also has their own challenges.
I also learned to work more disciplined. With a tight schedule, high intensity, everything happens quickly, if you are not proactive, not prepared carefully, you will easily get caught up. And in that environment, I realized, meticulousness does not come from luck, but from the habit of practicing every day.
After returning from Miss World and receiving the love of the audience, many people were surprised when Y Nhi decided to continue studying abroad immediately afterwards, even though you could spend time to be more active in showbiz. Is this choice due to the need to affirm personal value, or the desire to build a more sustainable image in the eyes of the public?
- Actually, I still always value my studies because this is the most solid foundation for myself to develop more in the future. I had my own orientations before coming to Miss World Vietnam 2023. After being crowned, I still hope that I can continue to realize my dream in parallel with the activities during my term.
I simply think that knowledge will be something that exists forever with us over time. Knowledge helps me have thinking, have a position, have the ability to self-study and stand firm against all changes. When I have knowledge, I also feel more confident to try my hand in new fields. I don't see studying as an opposite to work, seeing it as a way for me to go long-distance.
After finishing your term, what do you expect from the next version of Y Nhi: A beauty with the bravery of experience, a persistent student pursuing knowledge, or a 24-year-old girl peaceful enough to continue her own journey?
- I think I have many expectations, but I hope to be able to harmonize everything. Having just completed my Miss World Vietnam term, currently I am still an active and dynamic student in each of my activities and also a young person who is always positive, aiming for good things to spread to the community more.
I also want to be more steadfast - steadfast in thinking, steadfast in emotions and steadfast in making decisions. When I am steadfast, I will not be swayed for too long by difficulties and I can also give more, help more.
I also don't want to limit myself to just one template. But I hope my image will be associated with seriousness and a spirit of progress. I want everyone to see Y Nhi as an image of a young person who knows how to learn, knows how to listen and knows how to strive. I believe that a sustainable image does not come from "appearing a lot", but from "doing something" and "keeping something" for a long time. I think I can go a little slower, as long as each step is meaningful and helps me become a better version.
What is Y Nhi's biggest expectation from herself in the upcoming journey?
- I hope I will be steadfast and progressive in anything I decide to do. I just hope I go right, go persistently, and every day is a little better than yesterday.
I think peace comes from knowing what you are doing and why you are doing it. When you live true to your values, you will be lighter in the face of fluctuations. And when you are still ambitious, you will not be complacent, not stop too soon.
I will always tell myself: be calm, be persistent, and don't forget to be grateful. Be grateful for what I have, be grateful to those who have trusted me, and be grateful for the challenges because they help me grow up. I will try to be more steadfast, do better, and live more positively in the journey ahead.
Thank you Miss Y Nhi for sharing!
