The event takes place at Hanoi Book Street (Ward 19/12, Cua Nam ward) from April 21 to 27, to respond to the 5th Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day, contributing to spreading reading culture and honoring the value of books in social life.
The book fair is a practical activity to honor the value of books, affirm the role of reading culture in social life, and at the same time promote the effectiveness of the cultural space at Hanoi Book Street.

The event is also part of a series of activities to celebrate Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day, associated with the 9-year milestone of formation and development of the book street space in the heart of the Capital.
Ms. Trinh Ngoc Tram - Vice Chairwoman of Cua Nam Ward People's Committee said that this year's Book Fair is organized in the direction of harmoniously combining professional activities on books with community activities and cultural experiences. "The concept of cultural industry has become an important approach, placing culture not only in the spiritual scope but also in the relationship with economic and social development...", Ms. Tram expressed.

This year's book fair brings tens of thousands of books in many fields, with discounts from 30% to 50%, along with many attractive gift programs.
In addition to display activities, readers can also participate in a series of seminars, exchanges and book introductions with notable topics such as "Books and the cultural industry", "Digital transformation of the book industry", and many publications on science - technology, artificial intelligence for young people.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, the seminar "Books and the cultural industry" took place with the participation of speakers: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Toan Thang; Director cum Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Women's Publishing House Khuc Thi Hoa Phuong; film producer Cao Phuong Diem and Chairman of Thai Ha Books Nguyen Manh Hung.

The seminar opens up many perspectives on the role of books in the cultural industry ecosystem, and at the same time suggests a link between the publishing industry and other creative fields.
