Taking place at Hanoi Book Street, 19/12 Street, Cua Nam Ward, Hanoi City, the opening ceremony of the 5th Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day - 2026 with the theme "Digital Knowledge - Connecting the Future" attracted a large number of parents, children and many people to attend.
The event is organized to honor the role of books in improving knowledge, forming personality and developing spiritual life. At the same time, this is also an opportunity to spread the habit of reading books in the community, contributing to building a learning society and a healthy cultural environment.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, representatives of Cua Nam Ward People's Committee emphasized that in the context of strong digital transformation, the development of reading culture is becoming increasingly necessary. Books are not only a valuable source of knowledge but also play an important role in improving people's knowledge and promoting the sustainable development of society. Book Day is therefore not only meaningful to honor but also a bridge to bring reading culture closer to all classes of people.

Prominent are exchange programs with authors, introducing new works, helping readers have the opportunity to directly approach book makers and better understand the creative journey.
In particular, many interactive activities for students and families such as telling stories according to books, drawing pictures according to book content, and arranging art books have attracted a large number of participants. This is not only a creative playground but also contributes to nurturing the love of reading from a young age.

In addition, the award ceremony for contests such as "Artistic Book Arranging", "Drawing according to Books" held right in the book street space has created a vibrant atmosphere, encouraging creativity and community engagement. Some units also introduced digital library models, electronic books, and technology applications in publishing, bringing a new perspective on reading culture in the digital transformation era.

In particular, the Hanoi Center for Culture and Library organizes new book display areas, combined with art book arrangement activities for students in the area.
