Attending the seminar “Tradition, culture and the circuit of contemporary creative spaces” held in Hanoi, many experts and managers frankly evaluated and gave their perspectives on the unique value of Hanoi culture through the network of creative spaces.
In addition to discussing traditional elements in creative spaces and public awareness, many opinions suggest that it is necessary to make the younger generation interested in and able to connect with Hanoi's traditional culture through creative activities.
According to MSc. Pham Minh Quan - Lecturer of the Faculty of Arts and Design, School of Interdisciplinary Sciences and Arts (Hanoi National University), the youth is the generation that will create new contemporary breaths for traditional values and this is also the factor that helps us affirm the existence of Vietnamese culture.
Dr. Nguyen Quang - architect, urban planner and manager, further assessed that to widely spread cultural values, large-scale creative spaces will certainly be needed because otherwise they will only be petty and repetitive.
As part of the Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism's plan to establish a network of creative spaces and organize a center to coordinate creative activities, on November 10, a special ceramic art exhibition called "Hien Linh" by Professor, Artist and Artist Ngo Xuan Binh will be held at the creative space in the garden of the Hanoi Museum.
The exhibition will introduce nearly 200 ceramic sculptures by artist Ngo Xuan Binh, presented for the first time, with new expressions and technologies that have not appeared at any exhibition in Vietnam.
This is considered one of the typical events in the series of activities at the creative space of Hanoi Museum.
Accordingly, the ceramic sculptures of Professor and Artist Ngo Xuan Binh this time are also the unceasing source that the artist has wanted to convey over the years, with the aim of contributing to promoting and introducing the culture, history of formation and long-standing development of Vietnamese ceramics; raising awareness of preserving and promoting the cultural and historical values of our ancestors for thousands of years; connecting and spreading traditional and modern values; creating a new creative space, bringing fine arts closer to life.
The ceramic exhibition “Hien Linh” will last until December 31, 2025 at the Hanoi Museum with the hope of meeting the expectations of domestic and foreign tourists, art lovers when coming to the capital and attracting a large number of young people, the future of the country, so that traditional cultural values are extended through contemporary creative spaces.
