On the morning of March 1, Hai Ha district organized the Song Mun Festival in 2025 in Quang Duc commune - a border locality with more than 95% of the population being Dao Thanh Y.
At the ceremony, leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Quang Ninh province presented the decision of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to recognize the "Social and religious Culture of the Thanh Y people" in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List.
This decision was given to localities with the Dao Thanh Y community including: Ha Long, Uong Bi, Ba Che, Tien Yen, Binh Lieu, Dam Ha, Hai Ha and Mong Cai.

Song Mun Festival is a long-standing traditional event, with important significance in the cultural and religious life of the Dao Thanh Y people. The festival takes place on the 2nd day of the 2nd lunar month and the 13th and 12th days of the 7th lunar month every year in the villages of the Dao Thanh Y people in Hai Ha district.
Within the framework of the festival, many unique cultural activities were organized such as: Song Mun Doan Phap Tranh ceremony, lucky launching ceremony, hair examination, pineapple leaf flute blowing, making pineapple leaf cake, hand-embroidered, traditional culinary competition and folk sports such as tug of war, stick pushing.
The festival also has a singing exchange, a beauty pageant in Dao Thanh Y costume and booths of OCOP products and local specialties.
