Traveloka partners with VNAT to strengthen sustainable tourism development in Vietnam.

On November 5, in response to Vietnam's growing tourism trend, Traveloka partnered with the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) to enhance travel experiences and promote sustainable tourism development.

Accordingly, the common goal of strengthening tourism initiatives, especially through digital solutions, is in line with Vietnam's long-term vision for sustainable tourism development.

Mr. Iko Putera, Director of Transportation at Traveloka, said: “By 2024, Vietnam will attract more than 18 million international visitors and achieve revenue of VND840 trillion. We are building a sustainable tourism ecosystem, empowering independent travelers to plan, book and enhance their experiences seamlessly.

Working closely with VNAT and local tourism authorities, we aim to enhance Vietnam’s position as a leading smart tourism destination, while attracting international visitors to the country’s unique destinations.”

Today’s independent travelers prioritize control, convenience, and authentic cultural experiences. Working closely with VNAT and local tourism agencies in popular destinations such as Da Nang, Kien Giang, and Hai Phong, Traveloka has launched the Vietnam Travel Checklist, a guide that includes top attractions, cultural information, and essential travel experiences tailored to each location.

“Effective public-private partnerships not only bring benefits to all parties, but can also contribute to shaping a sustainable and innovative tourism future in Vietnam,” said Mr. Dinh Ngoc Duc, Head of International Relations Department, Vietnam National Administration of Tourism.

We hope Traveloka will continue to promote this trend through promoting Vietnamese destinations, digital transformation and increasing communication efforts.”
