Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra has signed a Decision promulgating the Plan to organize Vietnam Culture Day for the period 2026 - 2030. Accordingly, November 24th every year will be the occasion to organize many cultural, artistic, educational and heritage promotion activities nationwide to spread Vietnamese cultural values in social life.
Bringing Vietnamese culture into the digital space
One of the highlights of the new phase is building a multi-platform communication product system about Vietnam Culture Day. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinates with central and local press and media agencies to build an identity set, digital communication products, radio and television programs, newspapers, visual propaganda products and communication materials suitable for each region.
Propaganda activities will focus on introducing national cultural history, national value systems, cultural value systems, family value systems and standards of Vietnamese people in the new era.

In addition to traditional media, social networks and digital platforms will be strongly exploited to reach the public, especially young people. The plan also encourages the promotion of the role of celebrities, influential people and prestigious individuals in the community to spread Vietnamese cultural values.
Along with communication activities, the development of the digital cultural space is identified as a key task in the 2026-2030 period. Technology will be promoted for application in museums, libraries, theaters, exhibition centers and other cultural institutions to expand cultural access opportunities for people, contributing to narrowing the gap in cultural enjoyment between regions.
According to the plan, multi-platform communication campaigns on Vietnam Culture Day will be implemented regularly to create a mark of Vietnamese culture in cyberspace. At the same time, solutions to ensure cultural security in the digital environment, protect digital cultural sovereignty, enforce copyright and prevent offensive and distorted cultural products are also being put forward.
Linking heritage preservation with tourism and community development
Besides digital transformation, Vietnam Culture Day continues to be organized with many large-scale activities nationwide. Localities will organize exhibitions and displays of documents, images and typical achievements in cultural development, cultural industry and heritage preservation.
The series of cultural, artistic, sports and tourism events is implemented in the direction of harmoniously combining tradition and modernity, encouraging the application of performance technology to increase attractiveness to the public. The team of artists, artisans, intellectuals and cultural workers is facilitated to participate in creative programs, thematic exhibitions and key performance activities.
Notably, many contents of Vietnam Culture Day will be associated with the development of cultural industry, cultural tourism and creative economy. Plan to encourage the development of experiential tourism routes in heritage spaces, craft villages and indigenous communities; restore traditional festivals; build heritage preservation models associated with creating livelihoods for local people.
Activities introducing tangible and intangible cultural heritage, traditional costumes, folk games, cuisine, and handicrafts of Vietnamese ethnic minorities are also promoted. In which, the community is identified as the direct subject in heritage conservation and sustainable tourism development.
In the field of education, many extracurricular programs, heritage tours, the "Heritage Journey" model and cultural experience activities will be implemented to help students better understand the history and culture of the nation, thereby fostering the awareness of preserving traditional values.
The plan also focuses on building a grassroots cultural environment, developing reading culture and community reading spaces. Open library models, creative learning, and smart reading spaces will be replicated to form a lifelong reading and learning habit in the community.
According to the plan, the Great National Unity Festival (November 18), Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23) and Vietnam Culture Day (November 24) will be organized in the same series of activities in residential communities. In addition, the National Cultural Conference will be held periodically every 5 years, starting from November 2026.
