Will the "Last Queen" create a boost?
Currently, 2 directors Bao Nhan - Nam Cito are working on the movie project "The Last Queen". The film is inspired by true love history in the history of Empress Nam Phuong and Emperor Bao Dai.
The Last Empress" builds a script based on anecdotes about the 10-year period of living in the forbidden city of Empress Nam Phuong and Emperor Bao Dai. The film recreates historical anecdotes with ups and downs in royal marriage life associated with era change.
The script focuses on royal life, from the time Empress Nam Phuong became attached to Emperor Bao Dai until they left Hue Citadel - leaving behind golden years, starting a quiet life.
The movie project "Last Queen" has received the support and assistance of the Hue People's Committee and relevant departments and agencies. After nearly 6 years of preparation, the film crew has just started filming at Kien Trung Palace - belonging to the Hue Citadel Relic Complex.
This is the first feature film set mainly in the Imperial Citadel with more than 90% of the story being about the Royal life inside the Forbidden City of Hue.
In addition to the main setting being Kien Trung Palace, other palaces of the Imperial City such as Thai Hoa Palace, Dien Tho Palace, Truong Sanh Palace, Thai Binh Lau Palace... will all be recreated in films in the period 1930-1945.

The Last Queen" was also filmed in some other locations such as: Da Lat, Buon Me Thuot and France - places where Queen Nam Phuong lived her last years.
According to information from the producer, they do not aspire to make a biographical film about the historical character Empress Nam Phuong.
