According to research and records, the Am Tien Spiritual Tourism Complex and historical relic project is currently being invested in and built a number of items in the Nua mountain area (Tan Ninh commune, Thanh Hoa province).

According to observations, in the foot of the mountain (next to the road leading to the top of the mountain, where the sacred Am Tien temple is located), the investor erected a project information sign. Along with that, a large nursery of many hectares has been formed.
In particular, on the top of Nua mountain, a very large-scale base block item is under construction. The project is built of reinforced concrete, and after completion, it will be the place to place the tallest statue of Buddha Mahayana in the world.

The urgent construction of the project, especially the item of the statue of Great Japanese Buddha Nhu Lai, is creating many expectations for people and tourists about an early completion project, becoming a highlight and attractive destination for Am Tien spiritual tourism.
Previously, at the end of April 2025, Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee coordinated with Sun Group to organize the groundbreaking ceremony of the Am Tien Commercial and Cable Car Service Area project - the starting item of the Am Tien Spiritual Tourism Complex and historical relic (Tan Ninh commune). The project is implemented by Sun Group, with a total investment of more than 35,000 billion VND.

According to Sun Group, the project is called "Am Tien Legend - Legend of Am Tien", implemented in the Nua mountain area, which is associated with the heroic uprising of Ba Trieu. Along with Ba Den mountain and Da Chong mountain, this place is recognized as one of the three sacred temples of Vietnam. The project has the mission of honoring and preserving cultural and historical values passed down to future generations.
With a total area of nearly 350 hectares, the project is implemented in three phases. Phase 1 includes the Commercial Service and Cable Car Area with a scale of more than 31 hectares, with a total investment of nearly 3,000 billion VND, creating two cable car lines through the green forest, the highlight is the terminal inspired by conical hats, communal house roofs and Vietnamese ao dai.

Phase 2 focuses on building a tourist service area and cultural landscape axis on an area of nearly 59 hectares, with the highlight being the statue of Buddha Dai Nhat Nhu Lai. Phase 3 will form an eco-tourism resort, highlighted by the "Legend Village" recreating the image of Ba Trieu and symbols of white elephants, bronze gongs, battle drums.
According to the investor, the Buddha statue of Dai Nhat Nhu Lai is placed on the top of Nua mountain with a total height of 167.5 m, including a 45 m high pedestal, a 13.6 m high lotus pedestal and a 108.9 m high Buddha statue.
Currently, the Great Central Highlands Buddha statue in Yiushan (China) is being recognized as the tallest Buddha statue in the world, with a total height of 153 m, of which the statue part is 108 m high.
Thus, after completion, the statue of Buddha Dai Nhat Nhu Lai on the top of Am Tien mountain will become the tallest Buddha statue in the world. It is expected that the project will be completed in 2027.
