Speaking at the ceremony, General Nguyen Trong Nghia assessed that after 15 years of construction and development, the Army Radio and Television Center has gradually affirmed its position and role as one of the key press agencies of the Army.

The General emphasized: "With bravery, responsibility, enthusiasm, and professional qualifications, skills, and the sensitivity and creativity of journalists in the Army, comrades have promptly been present in difficult and arduous places, at the forefront, borders, islands, remote and isolated areas, storm centers... standing side by side with soldiers and people in training, combat readiness, rescue and international missions.

According to the General, the Center's journalistic works have truthfully reflected military and defense activities, military-civilian solidarity and international solidarity, conveying the breath of military life along with the noble image and cultural values of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the new era, clearly showing the role of the shock force on the ideological and cultural front of the Party in the Army.

The General also noted that the world and regional situation is developing rapidly and complicatedly; strategic competition between major countries is increasingly fierce, traditional and non-traditional security challenges are intertwined; while the industrial revolution and digital media are developing, posing new requirements for Vietnamese revolutionary journalism in general and Army journalism in particular.

The Center continues to thoroughly grasp the Party's views on ideological work, journalism, and communication; firmly adhere to the principles of revolutionary journalism: Party nature, ideological nature, authenticity, People's nature and combativeness.

Each cadre, reporter, and editor must firmly grasp the Party's guidelines and policies so that each journalistic work is both politically oriented and has a spreading power and positive impact on society...

“Deploy synchronously solutions to build the Center into a key multimedia media agency of the Army and the nation; develop Vietnam National Defense Television Channel into a national strategic backup channel, ready to meet task requirements in all situations. This is a strategic task for national defense, information and communication security of the country,” General Nguyen Trong Nghia emphasized.

The General also requested the Army Radio and Television Center to continue to promote innovation, strengthen the application of science and technology, artificial intelligence and digital transformation in the entire production, management and content distribution process.

Besides the requirement for technological innovation, the General emphasized the task of building a team of Army journalists with firm political bravery, high expertise and bright professional ethics.

The force of reporters and editors needs to truly become shock troops on the ideological and cultural front, always closely following the reality of the lives of soldiers and people.
