The Yen Tu Spring Festival 2026 opening ceremony will officially take place on the 10th day of the first lunar month of Binh Ngo year (ie February 26, 2026) at Truc Lam Palace, belonging to the Yen Tu Scenic Relic Area.

From early morning on February 25, the stream of pilgrims flocked to the sacred mountains more and more crowded. Many tourists took advantage of going to worship and offer incense to pray for peace and fortune before the official opening of the festival to avoid overload and jostling during peak days.

Yen Tu has long been known as the "first famous mountain", not only famous for its majestic scenery but also the cradle of Truc Lam Buddhism in Vietnam.
Associated with the name Tran Nhan Tong - the third king of the Tran Dynasty, Yen Tu was the place where he gave up the throne after leading the victorious resistance war against the Mongol Yuan to become a monk in 1299, taking the Dharma name Huong Van Dai Dau Da and founding Truc Lam Yen Tu Zen sect - a pure Vietnamese Zen sect with the spirit of entering the world, connecting the Dharma with life.

The Yen Tu relic complex is a harmony between ancient architecture and majestic nature. Works such as Dong Pagoda on the sacred mountain peak, Hoa Yen Pagoda - where the Buddha Emperor once presided over, or Hue Quang Tower preserving relics, all have a rustic, peaceful beauty between bamboo forests, apricot forests and hundreds of years old ancient pine trees.

Every spring, the Yen Tu festival attracts millions of monks, nuns, Buddhists and pilgrims from all directions, becoming a journey to find spiritual roots and national cultural values.

Many tourists come to Hoa Yen Pagoda - where the Buddha Emperor once abboted, sincerely offering incense, praying for peace and health for their families in the new year.

After the journey to conquer the mountain peak, visitors stop at Dong Pagoda. At this sacred spot, many young people and families sincerely offer offerings, praying for fortune and luck for the new year.

Amidst the sacred mountains and clouds, the journey to Yen Tu is not only a spring trip at the beginning of the year but also an opportunity for everyone to find peace in their souls, sending wishes for peace, fortune and good things for a complete new year.
