On May 30, the Hue City Labor Federation coordinated with the Hue City People's Committee to organize a direct dialogue program with union members and workers in the area.
The program took place under the chairmanship of the Standing Vice Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee - Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, along with the Chairman of the Hue City Labor Federation - Mr. Le Minh Nhan and representatives of leaders of relevant departments, branches and sectors.
At the dialogue, leaders at all levels listened to and accepted many practical opinions from employees, revolving around issues such as employment, policies, working conditions, life, social insurance, etc. The event clearly demonstrated the concern of local authorities for the rights and quality of life of employees.

Speaking at the program, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee emphasized that the dialogue is a meaningful activity. Through the raised issues, the city government will listen to and promptly resolve arising issues to build a safe, stable and sustainable working environment.
One of the notable opinions is the concern about the fact that the number of enterprises temporarily suspended and dissolved is still high, affecting sustainable employment opportunities for workers, raised by Mr. Vo Nguyen Vu (Phu Vang District Labor Federation). Mr. Vu suggested that the Hue City government provide more clear information about the socio-economic development situation and have solutions to support workers, especially in the issue of employment and social security.
In addition, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh (Scavi Quang Dien Company Limited) reflected on the shortage of housing and nurseries for workers in industrial parks, directly affecting their lives and labor productivity. She recommended that the People's Committee of Hue City have a specific plan to support the construction of social housing and trade union institutions to retain workers and promote the sustainable development of enterprises.
The city's leaders acknowledged this situation and said that they will continue to implement policies to support businesses, while strengthening the connection between labor supply and demand to stabilize employment.

The issue of occupational safety and hygiene, the tax increase policy, whether it affects the income and employment of employees or not, are also raised. Responding to these issues, representatives of departments, branches and sectors participating in the program also said that they will strengthen inspection, examination, strict handling of violations and raise awareness of both employers and employees; continue to make recommendations to competent authorities to have a suitable roadmap, ensuring the harmony of interests between the state budget, businesses and employees.
The program is an important opportunity for city leaders to directly listen to the thoughts and aspirations of workers, thereby making appropriate policy adjustments, contributing to improving the quality of life and employment in the area.
