On September 23, according to the Dong Thap Employment Service Center (TTDVVL), from the beginning of 2024 to now, the whole province has organized 23 job fairs. Thereby attracting 358 business units with more than 6,800 workers and students to attend. Through the fairs, jobs were created for more than 36,500 workers, reaching 121.6% of the annual plan target.
Of these, nearly 1,800 workers have gone abroad to work for a limited period under contracts, reaching nearly 90% of the annual plan. Currently, nearly 800 workers are studying foreign languages and orientation education, waiting for their departure date. This not only helps tens of thousands of workers have jobs with stable incomes, but also helps many businesses, establishments, and units have a source of labor to meet production and business needs...
This is considered an outstanding achievement of Dong Thap in the context that many localities in the Mekong Delta are struggling with a paradox: Localities need to recruit workers but have difficulty recruiting them. Meanwhile, the number of unemployed workers is very high.
According to Mr. Nguyen Phu Hieu - Director of Dong Thap Service Center - this achievement is the result of the continuous process of innovation in content and methods of professional and technical activities of the unit. The highlight is the innovation in communication.
Accordingly, the Centre has increased its understanding of the needs of employees and employers. Based on that, it has decided to diversify the types and locations of the Job Fairs.
In addition to maintaining the organization at the unit's headquarters, the Center also cooperates with many units to organize many job fairs in industrial parks and clusters... so that companies, businesses and workers can easily have many opportunities to meet each other, exchange necessary information, and thereby easily meet each other at work.
