Binh Dinh - While swimming together, 2 out of 3 young men in Hoai Nhon town drowned, leaving 1 dead and 1 missing.

On the morning of October 16, Mr. Tran Van Thu - Party Secretary, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoai Thanh Ward (Hoai Nhon Town, Binh Dinh) confirmed that a drowning incident had just occurred in the area, killing 1 person and leaving 1 person missing while swimming in the sea.

According to Mr. Thu, at around 5:00 p.m. on October 15, three young men from Hoai My commune invited each other to go swimming in the beach area bordering Hoai Thanh ward and Hoai Huong ward.

While swimming in the sea with big waves, 2 out of 3 young men drowned. Among them, the young man named S died, and Th went missing after being swept away by the waves.

Immediately after the incident, local people found the body of one victim and handed it over to his family. The person swept away by the waves has not yet been found. Currently, authorities are still trying to find the remaining victim.

"People should not swim in areas without lifeguards to ensure their safety, especially when there are big waves," Mr. Thu warned.
