On the evening of July 23, a live livestream was broadcast on social networks about a case of a female patient who died unexpectedly at the General Hospital 1, Lao Cai province ( Au Lau commune, Lao Cai province).
According to the posted content, the 48-year-old female patient died unexpectedly after being treated in the Department of Cardiology. The patient's family said that the staff and doctors at the Hospital were not dedicated to examination and treatment; the hospital did not find the cause of the disease, and delayed the patient's referral, leading to the heartbreaking incident above.

This information was interacted with by many readers and quickly spread on social networks. On the same evening, July 23, a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper was present at the hospital where the incident occurred.
At the time the reporter recorded at around 8:30 p.m., the patient's body was being taken for a autopsy by the police force to clarify the cause of death.
Quickly informing reporters, the leader of Lao Cai General Hospital 1 said that at 11:45 p.m. on July 22, the Department of Cardiology received patient Dang Thi M (48 years old, in Tran Yen commune, Lao Cai province), in a state of headache, dizziness, numbness in the limbs, fatigue, prolonged insomnia, and mild difficulty breathing.
Immediately upon admission, the on-duty team assisted this patient in breathing oxygen, fluid infusion, increased brain circulation, and performed basic and in-depth tests.

At 6:45 a.m. on July 23, the patient was re-examined for abnormal tests. Initial assessment of tests and paraclinical examinations did not detect any signs of acute abnormalities in the heart, blood circulation and organs in the abdomen.
At the same time, patient M was again prescribed a chest CT scan to determine the cause of the disease. The returned results did not record any obvious damage at the time of filming. The patient's vital signs were stable.
At around 16:30, after having all the tests and paraclinical examinations, the treating doctor explained the condition to the family and recommended that they should be transferred to the central level in Hanoi for further in-depth monitoring and finding the cause of the disease.
However, the family did not agree to the transfer at that time.
By the evening of the same day, the patient suddenly became seriously ill, had stopped circulating and died after unsuccessful intensive care.
According to the explanation of the leader of Lao Cai Provincial General Hospital 1: This is an unexpected sudden death, which has been recorded in many cardiovascular, vascular and neurological diseases - especially in middle-aged patients, there may be underlying factors or malicious heart rhythm disorders that occur quickly, not clearly manifested through initial diagnoses".
Regarding this issue, Dr. Tran Lan Anh - Director of Lao Cai General Hospital 1 affirmed: "The reception, diagnosis, monitoring and emergency care process is carried out in accordance with professional regulations and within reasonable time. There are no signs of being blocked or missing".
