The whole province has more than 178,000 people receiving Tet gifts worth 400,000 VND on the occasion of welcoming the 14th National Party Congress and the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026. The total budget is more than 71.2 billion VND, from the central budget supplemented with objectives in Decision No. 2814/QD-TTg dated December 28, 2025 of the Prime Minister.
Payment is carried out flexibly through social security benefits accounts on the VNeID application, giving gifts directly by bank transfer or paying directly to cases where people receive benefits.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Thinh - Deputy Director of the Department of Finance - said that through monitoring, from January 1 to now, the work of giving gifts to people in the province has been implemented simultaneously, seriously and on schedule.
The Department of Finance has requested agencies, units, and localities to continue to closely coordinate to ensure that the payment and gifting of gifts are completed on schedule and for the right recipients; at the same time, send the implementation results report to the Department of Finance before January 4, 2026 to summarize, advise the Provincial People's Committee to direct, evaluate and report according to regulations.
