4 crew members safe after 2 Nghe An fishing boats sank

Nghe An - Two fishing boats of fishermen in Trung Loc commune sank when encountering thunderstorms and strong winds at sea, 4 crew members were safely rescued.

On August 30, Nghe An Border Guard Command said that functional forces are supporting fishermen's families to salvage 2 fishing boats that sank at sea in the Cua Lo area.

Previously, at about 1:30 am on the same day, while moving from the sea to Lach Lo estuary, 2 fishing boats with registration numbers NA-70818-TS and NA-70683-TS of fishermen in Trung Loc commune, Nghe An province encountered thunderstorms, strong winds and sank.

Fishing vessel NA-70818-TS owned and captained by Mr. Nguyen Van Han, born in 1975. Fishing vessel NA-70683-TS owned and captained by Mr. Nguyen Van Vinh, born in 1980.

At the time of the incident, there were a total of 4 crew members on the 2 ships.

Immediately after the ship encountered an accident, the crew members were rescued by a fishing boat accompanying them and brought ashore safely. At about 5:30 am on August 30, all 4 people had returned home, their health and spirit were stable.

After receiving the information, the Border Guard Station of Cua Lo - Ben Thuy port, Nghe An Border Guard Command directed the Cua Lo Border Guard Station to contact ship owners and captains to grasp the situation.

The unit also sent 3 officers and soldiers and 1 canoe to the scene, coordinating to support the families of the fishermen to salvage the sunken vessel.
