On the afternoon of April 26, the Office of the National Steering Committee for Civil Defense reported on the situation of bridge pontoon assurance, fires, forest fires and search and rescue work.
Accordingly, regarding the work of ensuring pontoon bridges, during the day, the Ministry of National Defense mobilized 160 officers, soldiers and 90 vehicles of all kinds, maintaining the operation of the Song Lo pontoon bridge, ensuring safe passage for 3,917 people and vehicles.
Regarding the fire, the report said that at 5:30 PM on April 25, in Phuc Hau ward, Vinh Long province, a fire occurred at 60m2 of a scrap warehouse, due to carelessness in using electricity. The locality mobilized 12 people (Army: 5, Militia: 7) to coordinate with local forces to extinguish the fire at 7:00 PM on the same day.
At 6:30 PM on April 25th, in Loc Ha village, Dong Anh commune, Hanoi City, a fire occurred at 2 workshops storing waste oil and solvents of Hanoi Agro-Forestry Products Joint Stock Company (GFS), with an area of about 1,000 m2. As a result: 1 person was injured (light burns to the hand). The cause of the fire is being verified and clarified.
The locality mobilized 125 people (Army: 15, Militia: 30, Police: 50, Other forces: 30), 8 fire truck crews, 1 ladder truck, 2 excavators, 10 trucks to extinguish the fire at 11:00 PM on the same day.
At 00:05 on April 26, in Pa Don village, Le Loi commune, Lai Chau province, a fire occurred in 2 houses spreading to 3 classrooms, 1 kitchen of a primary school, with an area of about 190 m2. The fire resulted in 3 children's deaths (P.T. D, born in 2012; P.T. T, born in 2014; P.V. V, born in 2019). The cause of the fire is being clarified.
In the fire, the locality mobilized 117 people (Soldiers: 2, Militia: 15, Other forces: 100) to extinguish the fire at 4:30 am on the same day.
At 01:00 on April 26, at Nhon Hoi Industrial Park, Quy Nhon Dong ward, Gia Lai province, a fire occurred at Tan Dai Hung General Co., Ltd., with an area of about 9,000 m2, the cause is being verified. The locality mobilized 10 militiamen, coordinated with local forces to extinguish the fire at 07:00 on the same day.
Regarding search and rescue work, the report said that at 12:00 on April 25, about 31 nautical miles northeast of Con Dao, Ho Chi Minh City, fishing vessel BV 97963 TS/13 LĐ with 01 fisherman (Nguyen Van Dao, born in 2004, residing in Dong Hai ward, Ho Chi Minh City), fell into the sea and went missing. The captain requested support.
The Office of the National Steering Committee for Civil Defense requested relevant agencies, units, and localities to issue maritime notices, mobilize 4 fishing boats operating near the area to organize searches, but there are currently no results.
