On March 2, information from the Nghe An Provincial Military Command said that in the 2024 - 2025 dry season, the Martyrs' Remains Collection Team under the Provincial Military Command collected the remains of 46 Vietnamese martyrs and experts who died in Laos.
The team found 41 remains in Xieng Khoang province, 4 remains in Xay som Bun province and 1 remains in Vientiane.
After being collected, the remains were brought to the Memorial House of President Ho Chi Minh and the martyrs who were volunteer soldiers and Vietnamese experts who died in Phon Sa Van town, Xieng Khoang province.
The search encountered many challenges due to harsh weather, rugged mountain and forest terrain and less and less information about the graves.
However, thanks to the support of the government, armed forces and people in Xieng Khoang, Xay som Bun and Vientiane provinces, the team completed the assigned tasks.
