Metro line No. 2 (Ben Thanh - Tham Luong section)
The Ben Thanh - Tham Luong Metro line started construction on January 15, 2026, with a total length of nearly 11.3 km, mostly underground (more than 9 km), the rest is elevated roads and access roads to depots.
The route arranges 10 underground stations, one elevated station and one depot, passing through 14 wards including: Ben Thanh, Ban Co, Xuan Hoa, Hoa Hung, Vuon Lai, Nhieu Loc, Tan Hoa, Tan Son Nhat, Bay Hien, Tan Binh, Tan Son, Tay Thanh, Tan Son Nhi and Dong Hung Thuan.

Before deployment, Ho Chi Minh City spent 5 years (2020 - 2025) to clear more than 251,000 m2 of land, affecting 585 households and organizations.
When put into operation in 2030, the line will use a 3-carriage train, with a maximum speed of 80 - 110 km/h, and a transport capacity of about 14,400 passengers/hour/way.
Ben Thanh - Can Gio Metro
Groundbreaking ceremony on December 19, 2025 under the BOO (build - own - operate) contract form, the Ben Thanh - Can Gio Metro line is nearly 54 km long.
The total investment of the project is more than 102,430 billion VND mobilized by investors, not including nearly 13,000 billion VND of site clearance costs paid by the budget.
The route passes through Ben Thanh, Khanh Hoi, Xom Chieu, Tan Thuan, Tan My wards and Nha Be, Binh Khanh, An Thoi Dong, Can Gio communes.

Ho Chi Minh City has directed to accelerate land acquisition and hand over the site to investors for construction in the fourth quarter of 2026.
The route is designed with a maximum speed of up to 350 km/h, helping to shorten travel time from the center of Ho Chi Minh City to Can Gio to only 13 minutes when completed in 2028.
Metro line No. 2 (Ben Thanh - Thu Thiem section)
The Ben Thanh - Thu Thiem Metro line was assigned by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to Dai Quang Minh Real Estate Investment Joint Stock Company (a member of Truong Hai Group) to organize the preparation of a feasibility study report in the form of public-private partnership (PPP), construction - transfer (BT) contract.
The project is about 5.58 km long, including 6 underground stations, with a preliminary total investment of about 33,000 billion VND.

The route starts from the Ben Thanh area, follows Ham Nghi road, crosses the Saigon River to Thu Thiem, then runs along the Mai Chi Tho axis and ends at Thu Thiem station.
Ho Chi Minh City is accelerating procedures to start construction of this metro line in April 2026.
Thu Thiem - Long Thanh Metro
The Thu Thiem - Long Thanh line is about 42 km long, previously planned as a light railway, now it has been converted into an urban railway, designed with double tracks, 1,435 mm gauge, maximum speed of 120 km/h.
The entire route includes 20 stations, including 16 elevated stations and 4 underground stations, with a preliminary total investment of about 84,753 billion VND.

The route runs along the corridor of the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway and Ring Road 3, mainly passing through vacant land favorable for site clearance.
The project is expected to start construction before June 30, 2026 and be completed in 2030.
Binh Duong New City Metro - Suoi Tien
The route is 31.6 km long, entirely elevated, directly connected to Metro Line 1 at Suoi Tien Bus Station.
The project includes 17 stations, sharing Long Binh depot with Metro Line 1, with a total investment of about 46,725 billion VND.

The Ho Chi Minh City Urban Railway Management Board (MAUR) has organized an international conference to survey contractors interested in project implementation.
The line will start construction in 2026, be completed in 2030, synchronously connected with Metro Line 1, forming a large volume and efficient transport axis between the central city and satellite cities.
Metro line No. 6 (Phu Huu - Ba Queo section)
Metro line No. 6 is 53.8 km long, including 45.6 km underground, 8.2 km elevated, with 38 stations. The line is divided into 3 sections, surrounding the inner city area of Ho Chi Minh City.

The Phu Huu - Ba Queo section will be prioritized for commencement in 2026. The route direction starts from Vo Chi Cong street - Ring Road 2 - Pham Van Dong - Hong Ha - Bach Dang - Terminal T3 - Cong Hoa intersection.
The line will connect with Metro Line 2 at Ba Queo station and the Thu Thiem - Long Thanh line at Phu Huu station, creating a transport axis connecting Tan Son Nhat airport and Long Thanh airport.
