On August 22, the Military Command (CHQS) of An Giang province coordinated with local Party committees and authorities to organize field surveys, verify information, and determine the location of martyrs' graves in Tram Du area (Tram 800 Forest), belonging to Lung Lon hamlet, Hoa Dien commune and Tam Ngan hamlet area, Binh Giang commune, An Giang province.
At the survey areas, the working group conducted terrain comparisons, verified locations suspected of having martyrs' graves based on information provided by engineer Lam Hong Tien. This is information researched and summarized from US military documents that have been declassified, related to the collective grave area in the former Tram 800 Forest area of Kien Binh commune, Kien Luong district and the area of Tam Ngan hamlet, Binh Giang commune, Hon Dat district, former Kien Giang province.


During the survey process, the delegation focused on identifying traces, terrain features, comparing maps and information from localities, veterans, and people who used to live and work in the area. Based locations will be marked, coordinates will be determined, and field maps will be built, serving as a basis for Team K92, Political Department of the Provincial Military Command to continue to organize the search and repatriation of martyrs' remains in the coming time.
The survey activity is also an important preparation step to serve the Information Collection Conference, determining the location of martyrs' graves in the Tram Du area (Tram 800 Forest). According to the plan, verification work focuses on information related to more than 300 martyrs suspected of sacrificing in this area, thereby continuing to supplement and clarify information sources, gradually zoning accurate search locations.
The survey organization demonstrates the determination of the Steering Committee 515 of the province and the Provincial Military Command of An Giang in accelerating the search and repatriation of martyrs' remains; and at the same time demonstrates the morality of "When drinking water, remember the source", responsibility to heroic martyrs and meeting the expectations of relatives and comrades for the early search and return of martyrs to their homeland and families.
