On July 25, the Organizing Committee for Tet activities of An Giang province coordinated with Thanh Loc Commune People's Committee to organize the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Don Dong Canal road (North bank), Thanh Loi hamlet.
This is one of the typical projects in the series of activities of the 2027 Military-Civilian Tet of An Giang province, aiming to join hands in building rural infrastructure, improving people's lives and strengthening the solidarity and attachment between the army and people.
The Don Dong Canal road project (Northern bank) has a total investment of about 2 billion VND, implemented from state capital and people's contributions. The road is 1,021m long, 3.5m wide, connecting Thanh Binh, Thanh Hung, Thanh Hoa and Thanh Loi hamlets. Before being invested, the section passing through Thanh Loi hamlet was mainly dirt roads, causing many difficulties for people's travel and transportation of goods, especially in the rainy season.

According to Thanh Loc Commune People's Committee, the investment in building the road not only meets the aspirations of the people but also contributes to completing the rural transport system, creating motivation for socio-economic development, towards the goal of building new rural areas.
The Commune People's Committee called on the people to continue to accompany the government in site clearance and construction supervision. It is requested that the construction unit focus manpower and vehicles, ensure quality, safety and accelerate progress so that the project can be completed and put into use soon.
Immediately after the launching ceremony, delegates performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the project. The deployment of the Don Dong Canal road continues to affirm the practical effectiveness of the An Giang Provincial Military-Civilian Tet program, contributing to building rural infrastructure, taking care of people's lives and consolidating the people's hearts and minds to become increasingly solid.
