On March 30, in My Thoi ward, An Giang province, T&T Group organized the Groundbreaking Ceremony of the Vam Cong Industrial Park infrastructure development investment project. This is a key industrial infrastructure project of the locality, contributing to promoting socio-economic development of the province in the new period, and at the same time associated with the orientation of economic restructuring from raw material production centers to deep processing and high-value logistics of the province and the entire Mekong Delta region (Mekong Delta).
Vam Cong Industrial Park has a scale of 199.2 ha, with an investment capital of 4,800 billion VND, located at the Southeast gateway of Long Xuyen urban area - an area with many advantages in infrastructure connection and trade of An Giang province. The project is located on both sides of the National Highway 91 bypass, an important ring road, helping to conveniently connect with the central area, ensuring a modern and sustainable industrial development space, separated from residential areas.
In particular, the Industrial Park possesses the advantage of multimodal connection with inter-regional transport infrastructure. The project is only about 3.5 km from the North-South expressway in the West, connecting to the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang expressway, opening up fast transport corridors to Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Tran De port and major economic centers.

In addition, the Industrial Park is also directly connected to My Thoi port - an important logistics hub on the Hau River with a capacity of about 1.5 million tons/year, thereby creating a clear advantage in transporting large volumes of goods at optimal costs. The project is directly connected to the international interconnected waterway transport system, effectively linked to Can Tho International Airport within a distance of 50-55 km, helping to complete the multimodal transport network of the region.
With the advantage of synchronous connection of roads - waterways - aviation, the project not only plays the role of a concentrated production industrial park but also has the potential to become an important connecting point in the transportation and distribution chain of goods in the region.
Notably, the Industrial Park is planned to develop according to the ECOTECH 21 model - economy associated with ecology and high technology in the 21st century, towards a green, multi-functional, new generation industrial park model. The overall project is harmoniously organized between production, logistics and ecological space, in which nearly a quarter of the area is for green trees and water surfaces, contributing to creating a sustainable production environment.
Speaking at the project commencement ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Deputy General Director of T&T Group, said that Vam Cong Industrial Park is one of T&T Group's key projects in the Mekong Delta region. This will be the gateway industrial park of Long Xuyen - a symbol of the shift from traditional agriculture to modern industry with high added value.
With a strategic position, multi-modal connectivity and pioneering ECOTECH 21 model, T&T Group expects Vam Cong Industrial Park to become a green production and modern logistics center of the region, contributing to promoting economic restructuring, improving supply chain value and making practical contributions to the development of An Giang province as well as the Mekong Delta region in the new era," emphasized the Deputy General Director of T&T Group.
The formation of Vam Cong Industrial Park is not only meaningful to the locality but is also considered an important link in the development process of the Mekong Delta - a region that is aiming to become a production, processing and logistics center of the whole country.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung said: The Vam Cong Industrial Park Infrastructure Development Investment Project not only focuses on industrial land but also allocates an important area (more than 30 hectares) for logistics logistics services, along with a green system and water surface accounting for more than 22% of the area.
In particular, the project is in line with the socio-economic development orientation and priority investment attraction of An Giang province in the period 2025 - 2030 and the following years. The implementation of this project is to concretize Decision No. 890/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister, aiming to build a modern and synchronous industrial park. When put into operation, the project will create new momentum for economic growth, create jobs for local workers and attract more secondary investors to An Giang.
