On the morning of August 26, in Kep province, Kingdom of Cambodia, the Specialized Committee of An Giang province and the Specialized Committee of Kep province organized a signing ceremony to cooperate in searching, collecting, and repatriating the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who sacrificed in the wars in Cambodia, phase XXVI, dry season 2026-2027.
At the ceremony, the two sides exchanged results of coordination in performing tasks in the past time and agreed to continue to create favorable conditions for Team K92, Political Department, An Giang Provincial Military Command to survey, collect information, search, repatriate and repatriate martyrs' remains in Kep province in the dry season of 2026-2027. In which, focus on promoting the role of the government, armed forces and local people in providing information, guiding, and ensuring security and safety for task forces.

According to the Specialized Committee of An Giang province, since the implementation of the Agreement between the Government of Vietnam and the Royal Government of Cambodia signed on August 28, 2000, two teams searching for and repatriating martyrs' remains of An Giang province have searched and repatriated 4,414 martyrs' remains in 6 provinces of Cambodia. In Kep province alone, Team K92 has searched and repatriated 91 martyrs' remains, of which 12 martyrs' remains were repatriated in the dry season of 2025-2026.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Comrade Le Van Phuoc - Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Specialized Committee of An Giang province respectfully thanked the leaders, government, Specialized Committee, armed forces and people of Kep province for their sincere and meaningful assistance, creating favorable conditions for Team K92 to perform its tasks in recent years. At the same time, he emphasized that due to many changes in terrain and artifacts, many martyrs' remains have not yet been found. Therefore, An Giang province hopes that Kep province will continue to coordinate and support the collection of information, determine the area and location so that the search work achieves the highest results.

On this occasion, the Specialized Committee of An Giang province presented friendship gifts to the Specialized Committee of Kep province and relevant forces that have actively coordinated and supported the search and repatriation of martyrs' remains. Thereby, continuing to contribute to tightening the solidarity, friendship, and cooperation between the two provinces.
