On the morning of August 27, in Preah Sihanouk province, Kingdom of Cambodia, the Specialized Committee of An Giang province and the Specialized Committee of Preah Sihanouk province signed a cooperation agreement to search, collect, and repatriate the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who sacrificed in the wars in Cambodia, phase XXVI, dry season 2026-2027.
Over 25 years of implementing the Agreement between the Government of Vietnam and the Royal Government of Cambodia, the two Teams for searching and repatriating martyrs' remains of An Giang province have searched and repatriated 4,414 martyrs' remains in 6 provinces of Cambodia. In Preah Sihanouk province alone, Team K92 has searched and repatriated 208 martyrs' remains, of which 3 martyrs' remains were repatriated in the 2025-2026 dry season.

In the spirit of solidarity, friendship and responsibility, the Specialized Committees of the two provinces signed a memorandum of cooperation for phase XXVI, agreeing to continue to coordinate and create conditions for Team K92 to deploy surveys, search, repatriate and repatriate martyrs' remains in the 2026-2027 dry season.
Also during the working trip, on the afternoon of August 26, in Kampot province, Kingdom of Cambodia, the Specialized Committee of An Giang province and the Specialized Committee of Kampot province also signed a cooperation agreement to search, repatriate, and restore the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who sacrificed in the wars in Cambodia, phase XXVI, dry season 2026-2027.
In Kam Pot province, Team K92 has searched and collected 1,719 sets of martyrs' remains; of which in the dry season of 2025-2026, 18 sets of martyrs' remains were collected.

In the dry season of 2026-2027, the two sides agreed to continue to strengthen coordination in collecting, exchanging and verifying information; mobilizing the participation of local authorities, armed forces, veterans and Cambodian people, creating favorable conditions for Team K92 to continue surveying, searching, and repatriating martyrs' remains in Kam Pot province.
