Team K92 of An Giang recovered 63 sets of remains of martyrs in Ray Moi hamlet

Team K92 of An Giang has just discovered and collected 1 more set of martyrs' remains, bringing the total number of martyrs' remains found in Ray Moi hamlet to 63 sets.

On August 26, Team K92, Political Department, An Giang Provincial Military Command continued to organize forces to search for and repatriate martyrs' remains in Ray Moi hamlet, Kien Luong commune, An Giang province.

During the day, officers and soldiers of the unit organized a search, thereby discovering and collecting 1 more set of martyrs' remains, raising the total number of martyrs' remains found in Ray Moi hamlet to 63 sets.

Immediately after the discovery, officers and soldiers of Team K92 carefully collected each part of the remains, inspected related artifacts; and recorded the location, characteristics of the grave and information at the scene to serve the verification work. From the newly discovered location, the unit continued to expand the scope, carefully review the surrounding soil layer to avoid missing the remains and artifacts of the martyrs. The remains after being collected are carefully preserved and procedures are carried out according to regulations, serving the work of identifying and burial later.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thanh Hung, Team Leader of Team K92, said that over a long period of time, the terrain in the area has changed a lot, and traces related to the martyr burial location are no longer clear. Therefore, along with organizing field searches, the unit actively meets with veterans, witnesses and local people to collect and compare each source of information, thereby identifying key areas to organize searches.

Senior Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thanh Hung shared: "Finding 63 sets of remains of martyrs in the Ray Moi hamlet area is a very important result. We determine that there is still information and signs, so we will organize searches; each location is carefully checked, with the highest determination to bring the martyrs back.
