On December 5, the Can Tho City Women's Union held an extraordinary Executive Committee meeting to elect the President of the Association for the 2021-2026 term. Attending the meeting was the Head of the Can Tho City Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission - Ms. Vo Kim Thoa.
The conference discussed and agreed to introduce personnel that was unanimously approved by the Central Party Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union and the Standing Committee of the Can Tho City Party Committee.
As a result, 100% of the Executive Committee members present voted to elect Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Lam - Vice President in charge of the City Women's Union - to hold the position of President of the Can Tho City Women's Union, term 2021 - 2026.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Lam was born on July 29, 1972, hometown Binh Thuan province, officially joined the Party on April 30, 2009; professional qualifications: Bachelor of Archival Studies and Office Administration; advanced political theory level.
From March 1999 to July 2024, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Lam worked at the Can Tho City Women's Union in many positions such as Treasurer, Deputy Head of General Office, Deputy Head of Propaganda Department, Head of Propaganda Department, Head of Organization Department, Chief of Office, Vice President of the Association, Permanent Vice President of the Association....
Previously, Ms. Vo Kim Thoa - former President of the Can Tho City Women's Union - was transferred to hold the position of Head of the City Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee.
