Bac Kan warns of landslides when soil moisture is saturated over 80%

    Bac Kan - Due to prolonged rain, the soil moisture in many localities in Bac Kan reached a typhoon state of over 80%, with the risk of landslides and flash floods.

    From the night of May 15 to the morning of May 16, Bac Kan province will have moderate rain, heavy rain, some places will record high water levels, the risk of flash floods, landslides, and flooding. Prolonged rain caused the soil moisture to reach a saturated state of over 80%.

    According to the forecast of the Bac Kan Hydrometeorological Station, due to the influence of the low pressure trough, combined with the wind convergence area up to 3,000m, the weather in the provinces will have showers and thunderstorms, some places will have very heavy rain.

    Risk of flash floods on small streams, landslides, positive slopes, and localized flooding in low-lying areas in some districts such as Pac Nam, Ba Be, Cho Don, Ngan Son, and Bach Thong.

    The warning level of natural disaster risk due to flash floods, landslides, and land subsidence is forecast to be level 1.

    Ba Be District: Bang Trach, Ha Hieu, Phuc Loc, Cao Thuong, Dia Linh, Yen Duong, Chu Huong, My Phuong, Quang Khe Communes, Cho Ra Town...

    Pac Nam District: Boc Bo Commune, Cao Tan, Co Linh, Cong Bang, Giao Hieu, Nghien Loan, Nhan Mon, Xuan La....
