The People's Committee of Bac Ninh province has just issued a decision on proposing to develop a Resolution of the Provincial People's Council regulating policies to support the cost of burning deaths in Bac Ninh province.

On the basis of inheriting the reasonable support level and superiority of the old support policy in the two provinces of Bac Ninh and Bac Giang (the rate of cremation in 2024 increased by 43.2% compared to 2015, the average rate of cremation each year increased by over 7%; Bac Giang (old) had an average increase of cremation each year of over 6%).
The policy of unifying a common support level of 10 million VND/case in the entire new Bac Ninh province will create synchronization and fairness for all citizens, regardless of geographical location, ensuring that all people benefit equally from the province's social security policy.
Based on the number of fire burns in 2024 (7,311 cases), the total cost of implementing the policy if applying the support level of 10 million VND/case. The estimated implementation cost is about 73-75 billion VND/year.
The Resolution will be specified in a guiding document of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province, clearly stipulating the dossier, order, procedures, processing time and responsibilities of the commune level and sectors. The Department of Finance advises on allocating funds in the annual budget estimate. Organize training and professional guidance for policy implementation staff in localities as soon as the document takes effect.
