On September 27, speaking at the United Nations, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov warned that the West would face a " Determined response" if it took any aggressive action against Moscow.
" Any act of aggression against my country will be met with a definite reaction. NATO and the European Union (EU) should not have any doubt about this, especially when they are telling voters that war with Russia is inevitable, Mr. Lavrov said before the United Nations General Assembly.
Moscow's top diplomat also strongly condemned the intentions of some European countries to seek to shoot down Russian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) right in Russian territory.
These statements were made by Foreign Minister Lavrov in the context of many European countries accusing Russia of being behind UAV deployment and airspace invasion fighters, but there is no concrete evidence.
Previously, on September 23, US President Donald Trump even expressed strong support for the idea of shooting down Russian aircraft if it violated NATO airspace, and used slang, when describing the power of the Russian army as a "paper bag".

Returning to Mr. Lavrov's statement on September 27, he did not seem to care about the statements of the US leader when answering an interview at a press conference after his speech at the United Nations.
However, the Foreign Minister warned that all efforts to "shoot down flying objects" in Russian airspace must pay a price and they will "really regret" for the act of "seriously violating sovereignty and territorial integrity".
Mr. Lavrov affirmed that Russia has never attacked EU or NATO countries with missiles or UAVs and has no plans to do so.
Regarding Ukraine, he said that only those who are not knowledgeable about politics expect Kiev to return to the border before the conflict takes place, in response to Mr. Trump's claim that Ukraine can reclaim all the occupied territory.
Mr. Lavrov also targeted German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, criticizing recent inflammatory statements towards Russia, and expressing concern about the statements of some EU and NATO politicians considering the World War III scenario as possible.
