On September 6, the Traffic Police Department (CSGT), Dak Lak Provincial Police said that the unit is handling a case of a driver violating alcohol concentration, driving a car into the median strip.
At about 8:50 PM on September 5th, Mr. T (57 years old, doctor, residing in Buon Ma Thuot ward, Dak Lak province) was driving a car with license plate 47A-23x. xxx on Vo Nguyen Giap street.
When arriving at the roundabout intersection with Le Duan street, belonging to Buon Ma Thuot ward, the car driven by Mr. T suddenly crashed into the median strip.
At the time of the incident, Mr. T showed signs of being drunk, unsteady walking and intending to drive the car away from the scene himself.
However, people around promptly prevented and requested the driver not to continue driving the vehicle and kept the scene intact to wait for the traffic police force to handle it.
Upon receiving the news, the task force of the Traffic Police Department, Dak Lak Provincial Police quickly arrived at the scene. After that, Mr. T was taken to the hospital for drug and alcohol concentration tests.
The test results showed that Mr. T was negative for drugs. However, the measured alcohol concentration was at 61.3 mmol/L, equivalent to about 1.34 mg/L of breath, far exceeding the highest violation threshold of 0.4 mg/L of breath.
