Lam Dong - Commune police and people have supported bringing students and bicycles through flooded areas so that they can get to school in time for the opening ceremony.

On the morning of September 5th, many students in Ham Thanh commune (Lam Dong province) had to go through the Bau Vuon spillway area, in Dan Thuan village, to go to school to attend the opening ceremony. However, this point is still deeply flooded after a prolonged heavy rain from the previous night.

Mr. Huynh Khoi Nguyen - Head of Dan Thuan village, said that local authorities and people have coordinated to support bringing students and bicycles through the flooded area so that they can go to school safely.

The village management board coordinated with the grassroots security and order team, Commune Police, Commune Military Command and people to be on duty at the flooded point.

Police forces used police cars to transport bicycles and students through the flooded area. Some people directly carried the children through the deep water section.

Until about 10 am on the same day, the Bau Vuon spillway area was still flooded. Functional forces continued to be on duty, supporting students and people to safely cross the flooded point.
