At about 1:30 PM on September 5th, on National Highway 1, section Km1686+750 passing through Ham Thuan commune, Lam Dong province, an accident occurred, killing a road maintenance worker.
According to initial information, at the above time, Mr. T.S.K (born in 1996, residing in Song Luy commune) was working, shoveling soil and rocks on Ong Tam bridge when he was suddenly hit by a car with license plate 30A-740. xx.
The collision caused Mr. K to be thrown off the roadside. Workers who were working with him quickly ran to give first aid.
The ambulance then took Mr. K to Binh Thuan General Hospital. However, the victim died.
At the scene, the car involved in the accident had its windshield broken, and the front of the car was flattened and dented.
Ham Thuan Commune Police came to protect the scene to wait for the Traffic Police and professional units of the Provincial Police to examine, collect traces and clarify details related to the accident.
Functional forces identified the vehicle driver and conducted an alcohol concentration test according to regulations.
It is known that these workers work for a road maintenance company.
Currently, the cause of the incident is being further investigated and clarified by functional agencies.
