On the evening of February 8th in Lao Cai, the Northwest Representative Office - Lao Dong Newspaper organized the launching ceremony of the new headquarters, celebrating the 5th anniversary of its establishment and launching the fundraising campaign "For Children of the Northwest", calling for companionship, social responsibility and sustainable contributions for the development of the highlands.
This is also the first event in the 30-year anniversary of the Golden Heart Charity Fund (1996-2026).
The Northwest Office is assigned by the Editorial Board of Lao Dong Newspaper to perform tasks in 9 provinces in the Northwest and Northern Midlands and Mountains regions. Lao Cai is the first locality where Lao Dong Newspaper has a resident reporter and is also the location of the Representative Office.
After 5 years of establishment, the Northwest Office of Lao Dong Newspaper has achieved many outstanding achievements, produced many quality journalistic works, and has been supported and highly appreciated by local authorities, colleagues, and readers.
In addition to professional activities, the Northwest Office and the Golden Heart Charity Fund also actively participate in social activities, notably building school sites and kitchens for ethnic minority boarding students and students in difficult areas.
In the series of events celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Golden Heart Charity Fund, at the Gala night celebrating the 5th anniversary of the Northwest Office, Lao Dong Newspaper launched the 4th "For Children of the Northwest" fundraising campaign.
After an hour of launching, the program has raised 382 million VND from organizations and individuals.
Also at the event, Mr. Le Hung Manh - Trang An Educational Equipment and Toys Co., Ltd. expressed his emotion at the practical contributions and support of the Golden Heart Charity Fund.
Mr. Le Hung Manh wishes to accompany the program and sponsor kitchen equipment with an amount equivalent to 100 million VND.
The entire amount of money and converted items was immediately presented by representatives of the Golden Heart Charity Fund to Hung Thinh commune to build a kitchen for students at a difficult school site in the presence of leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lao Cai province, Vietnam Journalists Association and the Press Department.
