In the period of 2023 - 2025, in the context of the lives of a number of union members and workers still facing many difficulties due to escalating prices and unstable income, the Trade Union Shelter program continues to affirm its role as an important pillar of the Trade Union organization in taking care of housing for workers. This is considered one of the outstanding social security programs, rich in humanity, creating a deep impression in each newly built house.

In the past period, trade unions at all levels have mobilized more than 12 billion VND for the Trade Union Shelter program. From this funding source, 292 houses have been built and repaired for union members with difficult housing circumstances. Each house given to union members not only helps stabilize their housing, but also adds confidence and determination to help them overcome difficulties, work with peace of mind and stick with businesses and localities.
Mr. Doan Thanh Sang, Vinh Loi commune, Ca Mau province, said that he was very happy to receive a Trade Union Shelter because from here there is a place to work with peace of mind.
Many union members shared that, before receiving support, they had to live in dilapidated houses, leaky in the rainy season, hot in the hot season, and sometimes faced potential safety risks. The support of the Union to rebuild a solid roof has helped their lives change significantly.
Not only does it have the meaning of material support, the Trade Union Shelter program also demonstrates the responsibility, affection and deep support of the Trade Union organization for union members. Each completed house is a crystallization of the spirit of solidarity, the cooperation of grassroots unions, local authorities, businesses and philanthropists, contributing to the effective implementation of social security policies in the province.
Ms. Huynh Diem Kieu, a member of the Trade Union of the Ngoc Hien Medical Center, residing in Kien Vang Hamlet, Phan Ngoc Hien Commune, Ca Mau Province, said: "I am very happy and honored to receive support from the Trade Union to build a union shelter. With a house, I feel secure to work."
The Ca Mau Provincial Federation of Labor has identified the Trade Union Shelter as one of the key programs in the coming period. The province strives to expand social resources, increase the number of supported houses and aim to improve the quality of the project, ensuring that each house truly becomes a sustainable "residence" for workers.
The Trade Union Shelter is not only the home of each union member, but also a common home of solidarity and compassion, a symbol of sharing in the working community of Ca Mau province. The shelters given are not only material support, but also a great source of encouragement, adding strength for union members to overcome difficulties to rise up in life.
