At noon on June 2, information from the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) - Hanoi City Police said that the Waterway Police force began a peak period of general inspection and control of vehicles with pumping equipment, suction and transportation of sand, gravel and stone on rivers under their management.
During this peak period, the Waterway Police force under the Hanoi Traffic Police Department will mobilize maximum forces, vehicles, and technical equipment. Synchronously and drastically deploy inspection measures, strictly handle violations of waterway traffic order and safety, especially for vehicles operating mineral exploitation and transportation.


"The unit will focus on inspecting vehicles with signs of conversion, installing illegal pumping equipment; vehicles without registration or inspection; transporting sand and gravel without invoices and documents proving legal origin", Lieutenant Colonel Phung Quang Hung - Captain of Waterway Police Team No. 2.
Through this peak inspection, the authorities not only strictly handle violations but also contribute to deterring and effectively preventing illegal sand and gravel mining, protecting traffic safety and river corridors in the capital.
