On June 1, Phu Tho Provincial Police informed that at 7:30 a.m. the same day, the Waterway Police Team under the Traffic Police Department organized a campaign to carry out the general inspection task. The Waterway Police Team has established 3 working groups to strengthen patrols and control, strictly handling violations of waterway traffic on the Red River, Lo River and Da River, which are 3 key rivers for freight transport, sand and gravel mining mines where there are complex activities for waterway traffic.
The areas focused on control include areas bordering Hanoi city, Vinh Phuc province, Hoa Binh province such as Viet Tri city, Lam Thao district, Thanh Thuy district, Thanh Son district..., especially the river crossing area in Bach Hac ward, Viet Tri city.

During this peak period, the authorities focus on detecting violations, preventing, stopping, and thoroughly handling all unregistered, uninspected, and expired-end-inspected watercraft, convertible vehicles, installing additional pumping equipment, vehicles transporting sand and gravel without invoices, documents proving the origin and violations of the law related to illegal mining, transportation, gathering, and consumption of sand and gravel on waterways.
According to the report of the Waterway Police Team, on the morning of the first day of the campaign, the authorities organized a general inspection of 36 vehicles, discovered and handled 1 case of expired vehicle registration and failure to re-register the vehicle according to regulations, and fined 14 million VND.
