Vietnam Social Insurance has issued Official Letter No. 2546/BHXH-CSXH to affiliated units and Social Insurance of provinces and cities on the implementation of administrative procedures in the field of social insurance policies on the VNeID application.
The implementation is aimed at implementing Plan No. 02-KH/BCDT.U of the Steering Committee for the development of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation, aiming to promote connective, synchronous, rapid and effective digital transformation to meet the requirements of the organizational arrangement of the political system.
Accordingly, 2 administrative procedures in the field of implementing social insurance policies on the VNeID application include: "Solving maternity benefits for employees who quit before giving birth or adopting a child" and "Solving the transfer to another location for those who are receiving monthly pension and social insurance benefits and those waiting to receive monthly pension and benefits".
To ensure effective implementation, Vietnam Social Insurance requires provincial-level Social Insurance to report to the Provincial People's Committee to direct the health department and the judicial department to share data related to the settlement of sickness and maternity benefits for employees as prescribed in Clause 1 and Clause 2, Article 5 of Decision No. 69/QD-TTg dated January 10, 2025 of the Prime Minister.
Social Insurance of provinces guides grassroots social insurance agencies and related units to assign and assign specific responsibilities to each relevant department and individual in receiving documents, handling maternity benefits for employees who quit their jobs before giving birth, adopting children, handling transfers to other areas for those receiving monthly pensions and social insurance benefits and those waiting to receive monthly pensions and benefits; feedback the status of the documents to the VNeID application in accordance with the correct process.
In addition, localities need to coordinate with press and media agencies to disseminate to workers and those receiving pensions and social insurance benefits about the benefits of performing administrative procedures on the VNeID application.
Difficulties arising during the implementation process need to be promptly reported to the Provincial People's Committee and Vietnam Social Insurance. Every month, on the last day, units send a summary report of implementation results to Vietnam Social Insurance.
Vietnam Social Insurance also requires affiliated units to implement related contents according to assigned functions and tasks; grasp the implementation situation, promptly propose solutions to handle problems arising during the implementation process.
According to Vietnam Social Insurance, in the first 9 months of 2025,135,182 people have received monthly social insurance benefits, 966,579 people have received maternity benefits.
