According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper in recent days, machinery and workers are repairing the CV1C Ramp branch from Vinh Tuy Bridge to Nguyen Khoi dike (Hong Ha ward, Hanoi).
The repair took place nearly 3 months after the fire at the parking lot at the foot of Vinh Tuy Bridge (also known as Vinh Tuy Bridge Phase 1).

In the announcement of the results of the appraisal of the economic and technical report of the Vinh Tuy Bridge Ramp CV1C repair project in October, the Department of Construction said that the CV1C Ramp branch from Vinh Tuy Bridge to Nguyen Khoi dike was affected after the fire and needed to be implemented with an independent repair project.
The repair aims to restore the load-bearing capacity of girders and piers, ensuring long-term safety of the project and traffic safety.
The total cost of repairs is more than 2.6 billion VND, the implementation period is until December 2025.
As Lao Dong reported, the fire at the parking lot at the foot of Vinh Tuy Bridge occurred at around 1:00 p.m. on August 30.
According to Hanoi Police, the area of the fire was about 300 square meters. The fire did not cause any human casualties, property damage was over 500 motorbikes of all kinds.

After the incident, the Investigation Police Agency of Hanoi City Police took statements from witnesses, reviewed cameras around the parking lot to clarify the time of the fire, cause of the fire, and origin of the fire; requested the Institute of Criminal Science of the Ministry of Public Security to examine the scene, assess the cause of the fire, and the origin of the fire.
Regarding the cause of the fire, Hanoi City Police ruled out the cause of the fire due to human impact. The fire started 4.3m from the foot of pier T2 and 1.8m from the roadside.
The authorities have seized and sealed the fire products for appraisal, thereby accurately determining the cause of the fire. At the same time, coordinate with the Department of Construction to conduct a preliminary assessment of the impact caused by the fire on the piers and girders of Vinh Tuy Bridge; ensure safety for vehicles traveling on the bridge; assess the quality of concrete, steel reinforcement... to assess the impact and make recommendations related to the fire.

4 days after the fire, the Hanoi Department of Construction banned vehicles with a load capacity of over 18 tons from traveling through the CV1C Ramp branch from Vinh Tuy Bridge to Nguyen Khoi (except for buses allowed to operate).
Vehicles with a load capacity of over 18 tons will move straight from Vinh Tuy Bridge to Minh Khai Street to travel in other directions.
Vinh Tuy Bridge Phase 1 was inaugurated in September 2010 with a total investment of nearly VND3,600 billion. The 5.8 km long bridge includes a river overpass, roads at both ends of the bridge and intersections at different levels. Of which, the Red River overpass is 3.7 km long, the cross-section of phase 1 is 19.25 m.
By the end of August 2023, Vinh Tuy Bridge Phase 2 was put into use after 2.5 years of construction.
After the opening, traffic will be organized in one direction from the inner city to the suburbs, while Vinh Tuy Bridge Phase 1 will be organized in the opposite direction.
